How can we help?

Most answers are a tap away in the app under More → Help & Support. For anything else, email us.

Email support

To help us answer quickly, include:

  • your iPhone and Apple Watch models, and their iOS and watchOS versions,
  • the Halfline version (in the app under More → About),
  • what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.

Emailing from the app's Help & Support fills in the versions for you.

Fixing the most common problems

My match hasn't reached my iPhone

Every incident is saved on the watch the moment you record it, so nothing is lost while the two devices are apart. Open Halfline on your iPhone, keep it open, and bring the watch within range. On the watch, open Sync: each match shows either Synced or how many incidents are still waiting. Tap a match to send it again, or Send all. Resending is always safe, because your phone recognises incidents it already has and skips them.

Today's fixtures is empty on the watch

The iPhone sends the matches kicking off in the next 48 hours, up to ten at a time. Open the iPhone app with your watch nearby to send them, then check Today's fixtures again. A match further ahead than 48 hours won't appear yet, and you can always set one up on the watch with Start match.

I recorded the wrong incident

Open the menu on the match screen and choose Undo. It cancels the most recent incident and works the score, cards and substitutions out again. Nothing is erased: the match log keeps the full history, including the correction, so your report still shows what really happened.

The watch warns that the workout isn't running

Halfline records each match as an Apple Health workout, which is how it collects heart rate and your GPS track. If the warning appears, the match itself keeps recording as normal. Check that Halfline has permission for Location and Health on the watch, then finish the match as usual.

Halfline isn't on my Apple Watch

Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps, and tap Install next to Halfline. If it is already installed, check that both devices are running the latest version.

My Assignr assignments aren't importing

Connect Assignr in the iPhone app under More, and sign in with your Assignr account. Your assignments then import as matches, ready to send to the watch. If the connection stops working, disconnect and sign in again: disconnecting removes the stored sign-in tokens from your iPhone first.

Common questions

Do I need my phone during a match?

No. The watch runs the whole match on its own and sends everything to your phone the next time they're together.

What if I record the wrong incident?

Tap Undo on the watch. It cancels the latest incident without erasing the history, and the score and cards are worked out again.

Does the clock stop when the screen goes dark?

No. The match keeps running with the screen off or your wrist down.
